अर्थशास्त्र और सार्वजनिक नीति

पीएचडी (आईजीआईडीआर)

डॉ. वासावी भट्ट अर्थशास्त्र एवं लोक नीति क्षेत्र में सहायक प्राध्यापक हैं। उन्होंने इंदिरा गांधी विकास अनुसंधान संस्थान, मुंबई से विकास अध्ययन में पीएच.डी. की उपाधि प्राप्त की है। उन्होंने गोखले राजनीति एवं अर्थशास्त्र संस्थान, पुणे से कृषि व्यवसाय अर्थशास्त्र में स्नातकोत्तर की उपाधि प्राप्त की है। उन्होंने दिल्ली विश्वविद्यालय से अर्थशास्त्र (ऑनर्स) में स्नातक किया है।

वासावी को विश्वविद्यालय अनुदान आयोग द्वारा जूनियर रिसर्च फेलोशिप प्राप्त हुई है। उनके शोध क्षेत्र आर्थिक भूगोल, विकास अर्थशास्त्र और श्रम अर्थशास्त्र हैं। उन्होंने अंतर्राष्ट्रीय और राष्ट्रीय पत्रिकाओं में शोध पत्र प्रकाशित किए हैं।

उनका वर्तमान शोध कार्य भारत में रोजगार और आय के स्वरूप पर केंद्रित है। उन्होंने इससे पहले विकास अर्थशास्त्र, सूक्ष्म अर्थशास्त्र और समष्टि अर्थशास्त्र जैसे पाठ्यक्रम पढ़ाए हैं।
