Dr. Vasavi Bhatt is an Assistant Professor in the area of Economics & Public Policy. She holds a Ph.D. in Development Studies from Indira Gandhi Institute of Development Research, Mumbai. She has done her postgraduation in Agribusiness Economics from Gokhale Institute of Politics and Economics, Pune. She is an Economics (Honours) graduate from the University of Delhi. Vasavi is a recipient of the Junior Research Fellowship by the University Grants Commission. Her research interest includes economic geography, development economics and labour economics. She has published research papers in international and national journals. Her current research work focuses on the employment and income patterns in India. She has previously taught the courses Development Economics, Microeconomics and Macroeconomics.
