Dr. Vasavi Bhatt is an Assistant Professor in the area of Economics & Public Policy. She holds a Ph.D. in Development Studies from the Indira Gandhi Institute of Development Research, Mumbai.

She has completed her post-graduation in Agribusiness Economics from the Gokhale Institute of Politics and Economics, Pune, and is an Economics (Honours) graduate from the University of Delhi.

Vasavi is a recipient of the Junior Research Fellowship awarded by the University Grants Commission (UGC).

Her research interests include economic geography, development economics, and labour economics. She has published research papers in both international and national journals.

Her current research focuses on employment and income patterns in India. She has previously taught courses such as Development Economics, Microeconomics, and Macroeconomics.
