Section 26 – Right to Information Initiatives and Capacity Building

1.12.1 Educational Programmes

Workshops/Trainings/programmes/webinars are regularly attended by CPIO or other staff of the Institute.

1.12.2 Efforts to encourage public authority to participate in these programmes

Faculty and staff members are encouraged to participate in the training programmes to enhance their professional skills. Planned to take Guest lectures in future.

1.12.3 Training of CPIO/APIO

The details of the CPIO/APIO and other staff members of the Institute attended various RTI training programmes and the Institute encourages staff members to enhance their professional skills in the field of RTI matter.

  • A Librarian & CPIO (Dr. Elavazhagan. K) was sponsored for attending three days Training Programme on RTI Act 2005 and latest development from April 16, 2015 to April 18, 2015 at New Delhi conducted by SERT.
  • A Personal Assistant (Ms. Priya V) was sponsored for attending three days Training Programme on RTI Act 2005 and latest development from April 16, 2015 to April 18, 2015 at New Delhi conducted by SERT.
  • An Administrative Officer (Shri. R Ravikumar) was sponsored for attending Twenty-Eight days Training Programme on ‘Educational Administration’ which includes RTI Act 2005 from January 18, 2021 to February 16, 2021 at Amarkantak conducted by IGNTU.
  • An Administrative Officer & APIO (K Muthukumaran) was sponsored for attending Twenty-Eight days Training Programme on ‘Educational Administration’ which includes RTI Act 2005 from January 18, 2021 to February 16, 2021 at Amarkantak conducted by IGNTU.
  • An Administrative Officer - Accounts (N Murali) was sponsored for attending Twenty-Eight days Training Programme on ‘Educational Administration’ which includes RTI Act 2005 from January 18, 2021 to February 16, 2021 at Amarkantak conducted by IGNTU.
  • A Junior Assistant (Kumaraswamy. A) was sponsored for attending Twenty-Eight days Training Programme on ‘Educational Administration’ which includes RTI Act 2005 from January 18, 2021 to February 16, 2021 at Amarkantak conducted by IGNTU.

1.12.4 Update & publish guidelines on RTI by the Public Authorities concerned
