उपम पुष्पक मखेचा आईआईएम त्रिची में संगठनात्मक व्यवहार और मानव संसाधन प्रबंधन के क्षेत्र में एसोसिएट प्रोफेसर हैं। उन्होंने भारतीय प्रबंधन संस्थान, बैंगलोर से प्रबंधन में फेलो प्रोग्राम (एफपीएम) पूरा किया है, और उनकी थीसिस एक संगठन के भीतर मानव संसाधन प्रथाओं में बहु-स्तरीय अंतरालों पर केंद्रित है। उन्होंने दिल्ली विश्वविद्यालय के प्रबंधन अध्ययन संकाय से मानव संसाधन में विशेषज्ञता के साथ एमबीए की डिग्री तथा बरकतुल्लाह विश्वविद्यालय से मनोविज्ञान में मास्टर डिग्री प्राप्त की है। उन्होंने दिल्ली विश्वविद्यालय के इंद्रप्रस्थ कॉलेज से स्नातक की डिग्री प्राप्त की है।

उन्होंने एमएसआई, जीजीएसआईपी विश्वविद्यालय, दिल्ली में स्नातक पाठ्यक्रम तथा मुंबई स्थित लॉजिस्टिक्स प्रशिक्षण केंद्र में स्नातकोत्तर पाठ्यक्रम पढ़ाए हैं। उन्होंने नौ वर्षों तक भारतीय नौसेना में सेवा की है और उन्हें कॉर्पोरेट मानव संसाधन के क्षेत्र में दो वर्षों का अनुभव है। उनके शोध के प्रमुख क्षेत्र रणनीतिक मानव संसाधन प्रबंधन, सतत मानव संसाधन प्रबंधन, मानव संसाधन प्रबंधन में बहु-स्तरीय अनुसंधान तथा समूह गतिशीलता हैं।
