डॉ. आशीष विश्वनाथ प्रकाश भारतीय प्रबंधन संस्थान, तिरुचिरापल्ली में सूचना प्रणाली एवं विश्लेषण के क्षेत्र में सहायक प्रोफेसर हैं। उन्होंने भारतीय प्रौद्योगिकी संस्थान, खड़गपुर से सूचना प्रणाली में पीएचडी की उपाधि प्राप्त की है। आईआईएम तिरुचिरापल्ली में अपनी नियुक्ति से पूर्व, उन्होंने कर्नाटक स्थित मणिपाल विश्वविद्यालय के टी. ए. पई प्रबंधन संस्थान (AACSB एवं AMBA मान्यता प्राप्त) में संकाय सदस्य के रूप में कार्य किया।
उन्हें स्नातकोत्तर प्रबंधन छात्रों को पढ़ाने का पाँच वर्षों से अधिक का अनुभव है। वे अपने डॉक्टरेट अध्ययन के दौरान विश्वविद्यालय अनुदान आयोग (UGC) की जूनियर रिसर्च फेलोशिप (JRF) एवं सीनियर रिसर्च फेलोशिप (SRF) के प्राप्तकर्ता रहे हैं। उन्होंने प्रबंधन में सहायक प्रोफेसर पद हेतु यूजीसी की राष्ट्रीय पात्रता परीक्षा (NET) भी सफलतापूर्वक उत्तीर्ण की है।
शोध में रुचि: सूचना प्रणालियाँ, मानव–कंप्यूटर अंतःक्रिया, डिजिटल परिवर्तन, प्रौद्योगिकी की नैतिकता, कृत्रिम बुद्धिमत्ता।
आईआईएम तिरुचिरापल्ली में पढ़ाए जाने वाले पाठ्यक्रम: प्रबंधकों के लिए सूचना प्रणाली, डिजिटल परिवर्तन प्रबंधन, पाठ विश्लेषण, सूचना प्रणाली अनुसंधान फाउंडेशन, सूचना प्रणाली में सैद्धांतिक प्रगति, डेटा खनन / व्यवसाय विश्लेषण, अनुप्रयुक्त अनुसंधान के लिए मशीन लर्निंग, तथा सिद्धांत निर्माण (प्रो. जे. बी. सिंह के साथ सह-शिक्षण)।
शैक्षणिक शिक्षण के अतिरिक्त, उन्होंने हुंडई, लार्सन एंड टुब्रो (L&T), इंडियन ऑयल कॉर्पोरेशन, मझगांव डॉक शिपबिल्डर्स लिमिटेड, TAFE और UDS जैसे संगठनों के कार्यरत पेशेवरों के लिए अल्पकालिक प्रबंधन विकास कार्यक्रमों (MDPs) में कई सत्रों का संचालन किया है। इन सत्रों में कृत्रिम बुद्धिमत्ता के माध्यम से व्यवसाय रूपांतरण, डिजिटल परिवर्तन, डेटा विज़ुअलाइज़ेशन, डेटा एनालिटिक्स तथा व्यवसाय में उभरते आईटी अनुप्रयोगों पर विशेष ध्यान दिया गया है।
अन्य संस्थानों में पूर्व में पढ़ाए गए पाठ्यक्रम: व्यवसाय के लिए उभरती प्रौद्योगिकियाँ, प्रौद्योगिकी रणनीति, समग्र गुणवत्ता प्रबंधन, सिस्टम थिंकिंग, सिस्टम डायनेमिक्स एवं बिज़नेस मॉडलिंग, तथा बिज़नेस सांख्यिकी।
