Admission History
The Category-wise CAT percentile and Composite Score (CS) data from previous years' (Last five years) admissions to IIM Tiruchirappalli serve as valuable insights for prospective candidates to assess their chances of securing admission. By analyzing this historical data, candidates can identify the minimum CAT percentile required for their specific category (General, OBC, SC, ST, EWS) based on previous trends. This helps in understanding the level of competition and setting realistic score goals for the CAT exam. The Composite Score, which takes into account not only the CAT score but also academic records, work experience, and performance in Personal Interview (PI) and Written Ability Test (WAT), further refines the chances of admission, providing a more comprehensive view of what is required.
By examining the past years' data, candidates can make informed decisions on how to enhance their profiles, whether through improving their CAT scores or strengthening their academic or professional background. The historical trends offer a clear picture of how competitive the admission process is and what profile factors contributed to higher chances of selection. Understanding these parameters helps candidates tailor their preparation strategies, both for the CAT exam and for the overall admission process, thereby increasing their probability of admission to IIM Tiruchirappalli for the Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGPM / MBA).
