Hari Sreekumar completed his dissertation in the area of consumer behaviour, examining consumption discourses and practices among migrant consumers in southern India. His research has been published and presented in reputed academic journals and international conferences in the areas of consumer culture theory and advertising. Prior to joining the doctoral programme at IIM Calcutta, he worked at Sterlite Industries for one year and in the marketing research industry for two and a half years, with professional stints at TNS Mode, Bangalore, and Indica Research, Mumbai. He completed his graduation with an M.Sc. (Tech.) degree from BITS Pilani.
