Dr. Shalini Parth is an Assistant Professor in the area of Organizational Behaviour and Human Resource Management at the Indian Institute of Management Tiruchirappalli (IIM Trichy). Prior to joining IIM Trichy, she served as an Assistant Professor at SPJIMR, Mumbai, for nearly two years.
Her research interests lie at the intersection of the emerging paradigms in the digital economy, future of work, and alternative modes of workforce development. Her dissertation during the doctoral program focussed on "Gig workers in the Platform Economy." Her research has been published in leading international journals, including Journal of Management Inquiry, European Journal of Marketing, Journal of Organizational Computing and Electronic Commerce, and New Technology, Work and Employment.
She has taught a diverse range of courses across doctoral and postgraduate programmes. At the doctoral level, her teaching engagements include Work in the Digital Economy, Advanced Human Resource Management, Advanced Qualitative Research Methods, and Case Research Methodology. At the postgraduate level, she has taught courses such as Strategic Human Resource Management, Designing Nudges, Building Gamification Skills, Leadership, Change Management, Human Resource Management, among others.
She has also been actively involved in executive education and management development programmes for participants from a wide range of organizations, including TATA AIA, PwC, GSK, BSH, Mazagon Dock, L&T, TAFE & TMTL, IOCL, BEL, SIRD&PR, APCOB, HL Mando, Telangana State Cooperative Apex Bank Ltd., Veritas Finance, Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), and THRIWE, among others.
She holds a PhD in Human Resource Management, with a minor in Organizational Behaviour, from IIM Calcutta. She also holds a Master’s degree in Psychology and a BSc (Hons.) in Physics from the University of Delhi.
