Dr. Priyesh V. P. is an Assistant Professor in the Finance and Accounting area at the Indian Institute of Management Tiruchirappalli. He holds a PhD from the Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode. Prior to joining IIM Tiruchirappalli, he held academic positions at the Indian Institute of Management Amritsar and Jindal Global Business School.

Dr. Priyesh’s research interests are in the field of accounting, with a particular focus on the financial reporting quality of Indian firms. His doctoral research extensively examined issues related to this domain. His scholarly contributions have been recognised through several awards and research grants, including:

  • NSE–IGIDR Corporate Governance Research Grant (2017–18)
  • Best Paper Award, Pan-IIM Conference, IIM Bangalore (2018)
  • Best Paper Award, International Finance & Accounting Conference, ICAI & IIM Jammu (2023)
  • AIR Writing & Mentorship Program Fellow (2025)

In addition to his academic pursuits, Dr. Priyesh enjoys travelling and reading non-fiction literature.
