This was a one-year project, which we bagged out of 148 worldwide applications, out of which only 22 projects were selected. This was one of the 7 projects sanctioned in India by the IMTFI for the year 2013-14. We received a project funding of around $19,000 to complete this project. This project studied the socio-economic impact of the financial inclusion system introduced by the Reserve Bank of India in the state of Tamil Nadu. It also aims to develop the financial inclusion indicators for the entire country, which would then be represented on maps. More details about the project are available at the link (https://www.imtfi.uci.edu/research/2013/nithyananda_fouillet.php), and the project report is available at the link (https://www.imtfi.uci.edu/files/docs/2013/Nithyananda%20and%20Cyril%20FinalReport-FINAL.pdf)
