Bipin Kumar Dixit is an Associate Professor in the Finance and Accounting area at the Indian Institute of Management Tiruchirappalli, popularly known as IIM Trichy. His current research interests include corporate finance and corporate governance, with a particular focus on emerging markets. His research has appeared in academic journals, including the Journal of Accounting, Auditing, and Finance, International Journal of Auditing, and Managerial Finance. He also received competitive research grants from the NSE-IGIDR Corporate Governance Research Initiative.

He is a passionate and impactful teacher. He teaches Corporate Finance, Advanced Corporate Finance, Mergers and Acquisitions, and Corporate Restructuring to MBA students, as well as Corporate Finance and Corporate Governance Seminars to doctoral students. He is actively involved in teaching and training working executives across various domains and consistently receives high ratings from students in all programs. He has also made significant contributions to institutional development by holding multiple administrative positions at IIM Trichy.

He joined IIM Trichy in March 2014 after completing his PhD (Fellow Title) from the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore. He received the NSE Award for the Best Thesis in Financial Economics from the Indian Economic Association for his doctoral research. Earlier, he completed MTech from the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur.
