Dr. Ajit Pratap Singh is an Assistant Professor of Operations Management with a Ph.D. from the Indian Institute of Management Lucknow. His doctoral research, titled “Essays on Digital Platforms and Network Effects,” investigates the role of network effects in multi-sided markets and their implications for operational and strategic decision-making in digital platform ecosystems.
He was previously associated with T. A. Pai Management Institute as a faculty member in the area of Operations Management, where he taught courses related to operations, analytics, and decision sciences. He holds a B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering and brings over five years of prior industry experience in the manufacturing sector, with expertise spanning project management, production, maintenance, and product design leadership, including serving as Head of Design at an Original Equipment Manufacturer.
Ajit’s research lies at the intersection of operations management, platform economics, and revenue management. His scholarly work focuses on digital platforms and multi-sided markets, network effects, dynamic pricing, privacy and subscription strategies, and agricultural and sustainable supply chain optimization in technology-enabled and data-driven environments.
